In January 2009, the trustee of the Leyland DAF Pension Scheme, Aon Trust Corporation, accepted a proposal to insure its benefits with PIC. In return for insuring the liabilities of the fund, PIC received assets amounting to approximately £226 million. The fund has approximately 5,000 members.

Merchant Retail Group Pension Scheme
Merchant Retail Group Pension Scheme (£9 million) (December 2008)
In December 2008, the Trustees of Merchant Retail Group Pension Scheme, a member of the A.S. Watson Group, insured its benefits with PIC. The Trustees concluded that the members' best interests were served by agreeing to insure the benefits in this way.
