Asset management

With assets under management of c.£4.5 billion and liabilities that stretch out several decades, managing our investments across a diverse set of asset classes and ensuring that these are well-matched to PIC's future cash requirements over time is a challenging and multi-faceted task.

The key functions within the team include:

• Management of the investment portfolio across diverse asset classes such as fixed income, equities, hedge funds, private equity and property
• Hedging of liabilities against market risks such as interest rates and inflation
• Matching of assets and liabilities to minimise market risk and optimise return on capital
• Analysis and reporting of market risks
